Recent Acquisitions

Every year The Block brings significant new works of art into its collections through donation and purchase. As Northwestern University’s campus art museum, The Block prioritizes expanding and deepening the collection in ways that support Northwestern’s teaching and learning mission, and it offers opportunities for students and faculty to engage with the collection through class visits, original research, and the creation of exhibitions. New acquisitions are regularly posted on the museum’s website, and a full list of acquired works is published each year in our Annual Report. Check this space often to discover highlights of our newest additions.
